It’s the season of giving and Hollywood has used the month of December as a launchpad to entice audiences with summer blockbusters for 2017. The release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is part of the reason why we have seen teases and trailers for the likes of The Mummy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. They all want to be part of the compilation of trailers that will be in front of Rogue One when it drops onto 4,000 screens on December 17th.
20th Century Fox isn’t immune as the studio has dropped the first official trailer for War for the Planet of the Apes.
Director Matt Reeves follows up 2014’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (which ended with war looming between man and ape) with a sequel where Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his apes are in a deadly conflict against an army colonel (Woody Harrelson) and his soldiers.
War for the Planet of the Apes will open in theaters on July 14, 2017. Have a look at the trailer and tell us if you are excited for the next installment in the Planet of the Apes franchise.
