VIDEO: Tom Cruise Attempts Insane ‘Mission: Impossible 5’ Stunt
While shooting a scene for the upcoming Mission: Impossible 5, Tom Cruise took stunts for spy Ethan Hunt to a whole other level.
The 52-year-old Hollywood actor has always been known to complete his own stunt work, and this time it happens to be 5,000 feet in the air. Filming took place back in September, with Cruise hanging right outside of a plane that was soaring high above the U.K countryside. The plane was an Airbus A400M, and his attire was nothing short of a full tailored suit.
His previous high-flying stunt was in 2011, when the actor filmed a scene for Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. Cruise successfully pulled off the stunt as he was suspended from the world’s tallest building, the 123-story Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
The fourth installment went on to take in more than $700 million at the box office worldwide in December 2011. The forthcoming installment, directed by Christopher McQuarrie, sees Cruise reprising his role as Field, a Field Agent for secret agency Impossible Mission Force, once more.
Alongside Cruise, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and Jeremy Renner return to the series, with new cast members including Rebecca Ferguson, Alec Baldwin, Sean Harris, Simon McBurney and Zhang Jingchu.
Mission: Impossible 5 opens in theaters December 25, 2015. For more stunt images, check out Britain’s The Daily Mail.
