Michael Bay always wants to top off the previous Transformer films and according to Lorenzo di Bonaventura, producer of all four films, they “are bigger and badder-ass than they have ever been!”
Wahlberg stars in the new Transformers: Age of Extinction, the Michael Bay-directed live-action franchise, and teams up with Optimus Prime in this new chapter. Age of Extinction is set three years after the devastating Battle of Chicago from the third film, and is now set in Texas where Wahlberg’s character, Cade Yeager, discovers Prime hiding in an old beat up truck be bought to repair.
The fourth installment gets a fresh cast as Wahlberg replaces Shia LaBeouf, who starred in the first three installments. Nicole Peltz, who plays Mark’s daughter Tessa, replaces Megan Fox from the first two films and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley from the third film. Kelsey Grammer stars as the federal agent villain in Age of Extinction. There are also new voiceovers for the Autobots that will debut in the film. John Goodman will voice Autobot Hound and Ken Watanabe will voice Drift.
Transformers: Age of Extinction opens in theaters on June 27. Check out the new trailer below:
