‘Think Like A Man Too’ Outpacing ‘Ride Along’ In Weekend Pre-Sales

The Vegas-themed wedding comedy Think Like a Man Too is eyeing the top spot at the box office this weekend. According to Fandango, It is currently in the lead for the number of advance ticket sales.

The sequel, starring comedian Kevin Hart, is projected to make more than $32 million at the domestic box office, and will be shown on 2,200 movie screens nationwide. It is outselling Hart’s previous films Let Me Explain and Ride Along.

The actor reprises his role of Cedric from 2012’s Think Like a Man, which debuted with $33.6 million and ultimately hit $91.5 million domestically.

Think like a Man Too opens in theaters June 20th.

Here is the film’s synopsis:

In the highly anticipated sequel, which was inspired by Steve Harvey’s best-selling book “Act Like a Lady, Think Like A Man,” all the couples are back for a wedding in Las Vegas. But plans for a romantic weekend go awry when their various misadventures get them into some compromising situations that threaten to derail the big event.

Another new release this weekend includes Clint Eastwood’s adaptation of the hit Broadway blockbuster Jersey Boys. MovieTickets.com currently lists the musical biography about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons as the third strongest selling film on Thursday, followed by Think Like a Man Too in fourth place.

It is predicted that Warner Bros.’ Jersey Boys will rake in a modest $12 million this weekend across 2,905 screens. Last weekend’s top films – 22 Jump Street and How to Train Your Dragon 2 – will be competition for Think Like a Man Too. They are expected to gross an additional $30 million or more each.

Next weekend’s film will be Transformers: Age of Extinction, starring Mark Wahlberg and Nicole Peltz, which hits theaters June 27th.
