Disney has decided to revive The Rocketeer, the cult classic film from the 1990s, with a new movie! The Return Of The Rocketeer will be a new film exclusive to Disney+ that will be produced by David and Jessica Oyelowo that may also star David in the main role.
For those unfamiliar, the original movie debuted in 1991 and was the second movie for director Joe Johnston. In that film, a new young pilot discovers a jetpack that he uses to become a superhero.
The Return Of The Rocketeer will feature a story by Ed Ricourt and will focus on a new directive. The story will follow a retired Tuskegee airman who discovers the Rocketeer mantle and becomes a new hero.
