The bodyguard’s (played by Kevin Costner) overcautious actions disturb the pop singer and her entourage, but ultimately fate steps in. The pop singer (played by Whitney Houston) begins to believe in her bodyguard and eventually falls in love with the man who saves her life.
After its release the film would go on to gross over $410 million worldwide, a huge success for its time. The film’s soundtrack sold over 12 million copies in the United States and is known as the best selling soundtrack of all time. Whitney Houston would immortalized herself in history thanks to the hit song “I Will Always Love You” and the chest-pounding power ballads “I’m Every Woman” and “Run to You.”
