“Come together, right now….” is exactly what production company OVOW is saying to Beatles fans across the globe. The company has begun their search for amateur and professional shot clips of the Beatles during the 1960s for an upcoming film titled The Beatles Live!
Incorporated in the production will be concert footage, images, music, interviews, and stories that document the 250 shows the Beatles played in 116 cities between October 1963 and August 1966.
OVOW put together several worldwide research teams and developed new social media tools as they began to start tracking down video material this morning. Along with their research teams and social media, they will also receive assistance from archivists, collectors, Beatles fan clubs, film restoration-experts, and academics.
All Beatles fans are encouraged to visit the film’s website in order to upload their own footage or see the latest news on the project.
As the Beatles once said, “Fads don’t last, but it should be clear by now that the Beatles are no ordinary fad.”
