‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ Resumes Filming

Star Wars: Episode VII has officially resumed filming at Pinewood Studios in the U.K. after Harrison Ford’s on-set injury postponed shooting for a few weeks.

Sources say Ford fractured his leg while filming a scene involving the Millenium Falcon back in June. The 72-year-old actor has appeared to have healed since he was recently seen walking the red carpet for The Expendables 3.  He also uploaded a video of himself last week doing the ALS ice bucket challenge, which shows no signs of an injured leg.

Disney and Lucasfilm have stated that Ford’s injury will not affect the film’s release date, which is set for December 18, 2015. Many of the cast members continued to work on scenes throughout the summer that did not involve Ford.

Star Wars: Episode VII will be directed by J.J. Abrams and will feature John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow alongside the original films’ leading stars Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker.
