THE WAIT IS OVER! Sony just presented at CinemaCon in Las Vegas today and premiered the long awaited trailer of Spider-Man: No Way Home! After a recent leak showed what appeared to be an unfinished version, we got the official one less than 24 hours later.
Now that the WHOLE WORLD has seen the trailer, what do fans expect in the actual movie? Let’s talk about it!
#1 Tobey Maguire
Every movie junkie worldwide is anxious to see Tobey Maguire don the suit for the first time in over 14 years. It would be beyond nostalgica as he is responsible for bringing this character to life. Maguire has been rather lowkey through his career after his Spider-Man films with very little acting done since. If they are indeed looking to bring him on board, then the check to make it happen must have been jaw dropping.
No photos or leaked info of his inclusion in the film have surfaced – yet. So far the rumors have been on point with the other predicted castings so it’s safe to assume we will be getting to see the OG Spidey himself. I can’t help but wish Stan Lee was here to see all of this unfold.
#2 Andrew Garfield
Social media often brings up the age old question: who was the best Spider-Man? Out of the three actors, Garfield tends to place last 90% of the time. His portrayal of Peter Parker only landed him two films, while Maguire and now Holland have received trilogies. This could very well be the chance for Garfield to redeem himself and win over audiences.
After all, many believed him to be the best version of Spider-Man, while others regard Tobey to be the best Peter Parker. Holland lands in the middle of an even mix of both. I have to agree. Andrew’s version was funny and witty, as he should be. Can’t say the same for the other two.
#3 The Sinister 6
After many films, we now have seen five of the Sinister 6 members on screen. As it was reported back in May, Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Avengers: Age of Ultron) will round out the group as the sixth member with his portrayal of Kraven the Hunter.
Now that the Avengers saga has ended, Marvel needs the next wave of super-hero filled films and The Sinister 6 is just want long time fans have been eager to see. No Way Home is shaping up to be the perfect set up for the future villain super-squad films.
#4 Green Goblin
Whom is perhaps one of the best Spider-Man villains of all time, Green Goblin returns to the big screen. Willem Dafoe is back to terrorize Spidey once again and we could not be more excited.
While Goblin has been a treat on screen with the many weapons and gadgets he possessed in his arsenal, this time is sure to be different. The visual effects of today’s world are sure to upstage what 2002-2007 had to offer. Expect the suit and glider to receive some much needed upgrades.
#5 Daredevil
Charlie Cox’s portrayal of Matt Murdoch was an instant fave when Daredevil hit Netflix. Rumors swirled when social media caught a glimpse of Cox on set of No Way Home months ago.
Almost half a million have signed a petition to get the streaming service giant to bring the show back, but no movement on that so far. No Way Home just may scratch the itch we’ve had to see our favorite lawyer again. We’ve come to believe that Murdoch was spotted in trailer, but nothing is confirmed as of now.
Spider-Man: No Way Home swings into theaters December 17th!
