‘Spectre’ Titled As Next James Bond Film

Spectre has been officially announced as the title of the 24th James Bond film during a press conference Thursday morning at Pinewood studios in London. Spectre, Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortio, is an evil global terrorist organization introduced by Ian Fleming in the 1961 novel “Thunderball”.

Daniel Craig returns as 007 and Christoph Waltz has been confirmed to play Franz Oberhauser, a ski instructor who is also rumored to be the villain in Spectre. Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear and Ben Whishaw will all reprise their roles that were introduced in 2012’s Skyfall. The new Bond girls will be Léa Seydoux and Monica Bellucci. Andrew Scott will play MI5 employee Denbigh and Dave Bautista will play a henchman called Mr. Hinx.

The iconic Aston Martin will return as Bond’s car, despite it being totally destroyed in 2012’s Skyfall. Filming locations for he 24th Bond film will include Pinewood studios, Mexico City, Rome and Tangier and Erfoud, in Morocco. Bond’s snowy ski scenes will be filmed in various Austrian locations that include Sölden, Obertilliach, and Lake Altaussee. The film will be directed by Sam Mendes and written by John Logan, Neil Purvis and Rob Wade.

Spectre will be released in late 2015.
