Variety is reporting that Seth Rogen will play the role of Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak opposite of Christian Bale in the upcoming biopic about the late Steve Jobs. Oscar nominated actress Jessica Chastain could soon join the cast as well as she’s being eyed for an unspecified role in the film.
Steve Wozniak played an integral part in the success of Apple Computer, co-founding the company with Steve Jobs and Ron Wayne in 1976 as well as being the chief engineer of the Apple I and Apple II. He would continue to be a significant figure in the microcomputer revolution of the late 70s and 80s before retiring from Apple as a full-time employee in 1987.
The upcoming biopic, starring Christian Bale as Steve Jobs, will be directed by Oscar-winner Danny Boyle from a script penned by Aaron Sorkin, based on Walter Isaacson’s biography “Steve Jobs.”
Seth Rogen will be seen on the big screen next in The Interview, a comedy about two journalist hired by the CIA to assassinate the leader of North Korea. The Interview opens in theaters nationwide on Christmas Day.
