Sandra Bullock is reportedly in talks with Sony Pictures to have a role in the remake of Annie, which will be produced by Will Smith and Jay-Z. The Oscar-winning actress would play Miss Hannigan, the mean woman in charge of the orphanage where Annie lives. The role was played by Carol Burnett in the 1982 version.
Bullock was originally in talks for the role back in March, but had to pass on the role. Now she and Sony Pictures are back in negotiations.
Young actress Quvenzhane Wallis, who was nominated for an Oscar earlier this year for her role in Beasts of the Southern Wild, is set to play Annie. Oscar winner Jamie Foxx is in talks to play Benjamin Stacks, a modern version of the character of Daddy Warbucks.
Will Gluck, whose previous work includes Easy A and Friends With Benefits, is set to direct the film. Annie is expected to be released during the 2014 holiday season.
