Rogue One, the first standalone Star Wars film, takes place before Star Wars – Episode IV: A New Hope. It follows Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and a team of rebels who embark on a mission to steal the plans of the first Death Star. Darth Vader will also be featured in the film and will once again be voiced by James Earl Jones.
Last year, the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens broke a plethora of box office records and grossed over $2 billion worldwide. It is unlikely that Rogue One will match the success of The Force Awakens, but it is still expected to do pretty well since it is one of the most anticipated films of the year.
