The latest Map to the Stars red band trailer has been released and it paints a disturbing image of luxurious Hollywood.
Map to the Stars, directed by David Cronenberg (A History of Violence, Eastern Promises), features Still Alice’s Academy Award nominated Julianne Moore, Twilight’s Robert Pattinson, Mia Wasikowska, and John Cusack. The film is a tour into the heart of a Hollywood family chasing celebrity, one another, and the relentless ghosts of their pasts while commenting on the entertainment industry’s relationship with Western Civilization as a whole.
The fast paced trailer shows tantrums, breakdowns, lots of sex, and a child with a gun. It’s no wonder Cronenberg had trouble getting a studio to back the film initially two years ago.
This is David Cronenberg’s second film with Robert Pattinson who starred in Cronenberg’s 2012 film Cosmopolis.
Map to the Stars hits theaters Friday February 27th.
