Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth Return in ‘Bridget Jones’s Baby’ Trailer
Bridget Jones is back, and she’s having a baby!
Renee Zellweger appeared on The Ellen Show Wednesday, where she premiered the trailer for Bridget Jones’s Baby, the sequel to 2004’s Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason and 2001’s Bridget Jones’s Diary.
Zellweger reprises her role as the title character, and Colin Firth returns to play Mark Darcy. The trailer reveals that Bridget and Mark have broken up, and Bridget has started dating a new man, played by Patrick Dempsey. Bridget ends up discovering she is pregnant, but isn’t sure who the father is.
Ed Sheeran also makes a brief appearance in the trailer. The British singer had posted on social media about filming for the movie a few months ago:
The film also stars Emma Thomspon, Sally Phillips, James Callis, Shirley Henderson, Jim Broadbent, Gemma Jones, Julian Rhind Tutt, and Jessica Hynes.
Bridget Jones’s Baby arrives in theaters on Sept. 16, 2016. Check out the trailer below:
