Reese Witherspoon to Play Tinker Bell in Disney Live Action Movie

After the success of turning some of its classic tales into live action films, such as this year’s Cinderella and 2014’s Maleficent, Disney is now developing a film based on Peter Pan called Tink. The film will star Reese Witherspoon as Peter Pan’s fairy sidekick Tinker Bell.

Witherspoon will also produce the film alongside Bruna Papandrea. Victoria Strouse is writing the script, who penned the Finding Nemo sequel, Finding Dory.

No details have been released about the film. A release date has not yet been scheduled.

Disney also has plenty of other live action films based on their animated films in the works, including Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book, Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh, and Mulan.
