Owen Teague Joins Stephen King’s ‘It’ Adaptation

Bloodline’s Owen Teague has joined the cast in the new Stephen King adaptation of It, alongside Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The story, which is to be told in two parts, follows a group of kids called the Losers Club who defeat a villainous creature called It, aka Pennywise the Clown. The second film will depict the group as adults when the evil entity returns, and the former club members have to team together once again and fight it.

Teague will be playing Patrick Hockstetter, a psychotic antagonist from the novel who’s a part of a group of bullies that torment the Losers Club. The rest of the cast will include Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs and Jeremy Ray Taylor.

The actor will also be appearing in another King adaptation from the novel Cell, alongside Samuel L. Jackson and John Cusack.

Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smith, David Katzenberg and Barbara Muschietti are producing. Mama’s Andy Muschietti is directing the film adaption of It, which is expected to hit theaters on September 8^th, 2017.
