The ultimate 90s boy band reunion is happening – *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys and more are teaming up to star in a zombie Western movie titled Dead 7.
The film will be written and directed by Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, who will also be starring alongside his bandmate A.J. McLean and *NSYNC’s Joey Fatone. Dead 7 is described as a “post-apocalyptic Western that follows a group of gunslingers as they look to rid a small town of a zombie plague. Carter will play Jack, the reluctant hero who unites the outlaws to face the zombie menace.”
In a series of behind-the-scenes Instagram photos posted this past week, other 90s stars to be featured in the film include O-Town’s Trevor Penick, Jacob Underwood and Erik-Michael Estrada, 98 Degrees’ Jeff Timmons, All-4-One’s Delious Kennedy and No Authority’s Tommy D.
And if Carter had his way, One Direction’s Niall Horan, would play his brother! He tweeted, “Ok @NiallOfficial I know we’re from different generations but…would you like to play my brother in this zombie movie with me?”
While at Comic Con, Carter told E! News that for The Asylum-produced film he wanted his friends to be in the film with him. “What is more fun than riding horses and being zombies shooting things?” He continued, “even as a kid I loved horror films, this was always something I wanted to do.”
Dead 7 is set to debut sometime in 2016.
