What gets more attention than a celebrity portraying the role of another celebrity? Nicole Kidman starring as the iconic Grace Kelly in the new film Grace of Monaco, that’s what.
Earlier today, the Weinstein Company and Warner Brothers released the first glimpse of the Grace Kelly biopic that stars Kidman as the Hollywood star that marries into the royal family of Monaco. The film will be centered around Kelly’s life as she says goodbye to tinseltown and hello to Prince Rainer III of Monaco, played by Tim Roth.
Directed by Oliver Dahan, the cast that will be joining Kidman and Roth on the big screen include Frank Langella, Derek Jacobi, Milo Ventimiglia, Parker Posey and Paz Vega.
Kidman isn’t the only starlet who will be portraying the role of royalty this year. Kidman’s long time friend Naomi Watts will be playing Princess Diana of Wales in the upcoming film Diana.
Grace of Monaco opens in theaters November 27th.
