A new Spider-Man movie is in development at Sony with “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” co-writer Roberto Orci penning the script.
The news comes as The Wrap reveals the studio is looking to create an entirely new project based on a part of Sony’s Marvel universe that’s completely separate from the properties Disney Marvel has access to.
The details regarding which characters will be used in the movie are still under tight wraps but could include a collaboration with other Sony Marvel properties like Venom, Silk, Black Cat, Silver Sable, and Nightwatch.
Robert Orci co-wrote the first two Transformers movies and wrote/co-created the hit television shows “Fringe” and “Sleepy Hollow.”
