Universal Pictures and Focus Features have just released the first official still from Fifty Shades of Grey in celebration of the literary character Christian Grey’s 31st birthday.
The film’s official social media page shared the image Wednesday morning via Twitter writing, “Happy Birthday Christian Grey #FiftyShades.” It illustrates below it a still of actor Jamie Dornan (The Fall) portraying Grey and his smoldering, perplexed expression inside of car. No images have been released yet of Dakota Johnson, who will be playing Grey’s leading lady Anastasia Steele.
Additional stars of the adapted E.L. James novel include Marcia Gay Harden, Rita Ora, Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford, Victor Rasuk, Callum Keith Rennie, Jennifer Ehle and Max Martini.
Author E.L. James’ Twilight fanfiction-turned-erotic-bestseller, which has sold over 100 million copies, is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, who’s directorial feature film was 2009’s Nowhere Boy.
The abnormal love story of 27-year old billionaire Christian Grey and college student Anastasia Steele is set to arrive in theaters February 13, 2015.
