Filming has begun for the the directorial debut of Martha Pinson’s Tomorrow, executive produced by Martin Scorsese.
Pinson’s Tomorrow explores the difficult reintegration of battle-worn soldiers into normal society. The film is being produced by U.K.-based Roaring Mouse Productions and Studio 82. Screenwriters for Tomorrow are Dean M. Woodford, as well as cast members Stuart Brennan and Sebastian Street.
Filming began today in London and will resume for six weeks before continuing in Wiltshire and then Spain. The cast for Tomorrow includes Stephen Fry, Sophie Kennedy-Clark, Paul Kaye, Stephanie Leonidas, Sebastian Street, Staurt Brennan and Joss Stone.
Pinson worked alongside Scorsese as a script supervisor on several films including The Aviator, The Departed, Shutter Island, and Hugo.
“I’m honoured to join Martha in her directorial debut. Through her vision, the great cast, and dedicated team, this story will resonate for years to come,” Scorsese said in a statement.
Since the film is still very early into production a release date has not been confirmed.
