No surprise twists with this news. The director of The Sixth Sense, Signs and the most recent Split (which has grossed more than $275 million worldwide), took to twitter this morning and revealed, tweet by tweet, what will be his next picture. He confirmed it will be a sequel to both Split and 2000’s Unbreakable. If you’re unsure how those two films tie together you best watch the final moments of Split, which has a great reveal.
The film will be titled Glass and it will be Shyamalan’s third collaboration with Universal Pictures and Jason Blum. It will reteam stars Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson, along with James McAvoy and Anya Taylor Joy.
Glass will be released on January 18, 2019.
Here are some of the Twitter messages M. Night Shyamalan shared before the big reveal.
