Lydia Wilson To Star In ‘Star Trek Beyond’
About Time’s Lydia Wilson is set to star in Paramount and Skydance’s upcoming feature Star Trek Beyond.
With Justin Lin on board to direct, the film reprises the roles of Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana and Anton Yelchin. Joining the cast is Idris Elba, Joe Taslim and Sofia Boutella.
Star Trek Beyond will be produced by J.J. Abrams, along with his producing partner Bryan Burke and Skydance’s David Ellison and Dana Goldberg. Pegg and Doug Jung are set to pen the script.
While details in regards to the characters have been kept under wraps, Elba was in early talks to play the villain in the third installment.
After its 2009 reboot, the Star Trek franchise has accumulated over $800 million worldwide.
Wilson can be seen in the BBC America’s Ripper Street and was just seen in the play Charles the Third.
Star Trek Beyond hits theaters July 8th, 2016.
