‘La La Land’ And ‘People v O.J.’ Top Golden Globe Nominations

The 2017 Golden Globes nominations are in and the creative team behind La La Land need to dust off their tap-dancing shoes, because the film racked up the most nominations in the Best Motion Picture Comedy/Musical categories. A24’s Moonlight followed suit with nabbing nominations for Best Picture Drama, directing, supporting stars Mahershala Ali and Naomie Harris, and several other awards.

On the TV side, NBC’s This is Us ended a decade-long drought of the big networks being shut out from the Best Drama race. Amazon picked up 11 nominations, while FX’s limited series The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story posted the most acting nominations for a limited-run series as well as the main prize. To win, it must beat out ABC’s American Crime, AMC’s The Night Manager, HBO’s The Night Of, and Starz’s The Dresser.
