Keanu Reeves & Cast Return for ‘John Wick 2’ with Some New Faces

Keanu Reeve’s John Wick is headed back to the big screen with some new and familiar faces after the cult assassin thriller grossed a surprising $130.9 million worldwide off a $20 million budget in 2014.

Reeves is set to return as the vengeful assassin John “Baba Yaga” Wick along with Ian McShane, John Leguizamo, Bridget Moynahan, Tom Sadowski, and Lance Reddick.  Newcomers to the series include Ruby Rose (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter), Riccardo Scamarcio (Burnt) and Peter Stormare (Fargo), along with the already announced Common.

Plot details are being kept a closely guarded secret but filming has already begun in New York City. The production crew will then relocate to Rome after the new year.

Basil Iwanyk is producing the film under his Thunder Road production with David Leitch and director Chad Stahelski. John Wick screenwriter Derek Kolstad returns for the sequel and the film will be released through Lionsgate’s Summit Entertainment.
