The first installment of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the Harry Potter spinoff series, is set to kick off this month, and Johnny Depp is already lined up to star in the sequel.
Depp will star in the second film alongside Eddie Redmayne, who portrays the main character Newt Scamander in the series. It is currently unknown who Depp will play, but he will make a brief cameo in the first Fantastic Beasts film.
J.K. Rowling, who is writing the films, revealed last month that she has planned a total of five films for the series. Harry Potter director David Yates is directing the first two films.
The first installment hits theaters November 18, and the sequel is currently slated to be released November 16, 2018.
Depp also recently signed on to star in a new adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express.
