Johnny Depp is set to earn one of the biggest paydays of his life. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor is could make up to $95 million on the next film in the franchise.
How is Depp able to earn such a high payday?
”Johnny is being very careful he does not sign on for too many films,” a movie source told UK’s The Sun. “‘He doesn’t want to ruin his career with overexposure like John Travolta or Nic Cage did.”
The last film, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, earned over $1 billion at the worldwide box office.
”This huge deal for ‘Pirates’ means he will be able to pick his other roles very carefully on the strength of their script rather than their salary,” the source added.
