The 22-year-old British model, Cara Delevingne, has been cast to play the female lead Margo Roth Spiegelman in the film adaptation of John Green’s Paper Towns.
The author, who wrote the popular YA novel The Fault In Our Stars, confirmed the news on Twitter writing:
Cara Delevigne's audition blew everyone away (including me!) and she understands Margo profoundly. I am so excited!

He followed with a light-hearted tweet that indicated he “should probably learn how to spell Cara’s surname at some point.”
According to Variety, who was first to report the news, Delevingne will star alongside Nat Wolff, who previously starred in The Fault in Our Stars.
Paper Towns is set in Orlando, Florida and follows Quentin Jacobsen (Wolff) and his four friends who embark on a road trip trailing clues trying to find his missing and mysterious neighbor Margo.
Delevingne, who is primarily known for her fashion work, recently made her acting debut in the short film Timeless, and a small part in 2012’s Anna Karenina. Following the Paper Towns announcement, she tweeted, “Thank you so much guys!! I am so excited! Ahhhh! X.” In addition, the model-actress has a small role in Warner Bros.’ upcoming film Pan.
