According to Extra, Jennifer Lopez is shooting a 3D concert film. Dance Again follows the last few years of Lopez’s career, during which she released Love?, filed for divorce from husband Marc Anthony, served a stint as a judge on American Idol and became acclimated to parenthood with new twins Emme and Maximilian.
She joins the long list of other celebrities that have released 3D concert films.
Katy Perry’s Part Of Me opened this past July 4th weekend at the number 8 spot and made $7.1 million its first week. The Jonas Brothers’ 2009 film Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience was not well received by critics and only earned $23.1 million worldwide.
The most successful film is Miley Cyrus’ 2008 film Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert, grossing over $29 million domestically in its opening weekend and over $70 million total worldwide.
Metallica are also filming their own 3D concert movie.
Lopez is currently on tour with Enrique Inglesias.
