J.J. Abrams Makes “Monster” Leap Into Animation

Ever heard of the Beastlies?  Well if you haven’t, I’m sure J.J. Abrams will make sure you will.

Beastlies are uniquely adorable, hand-crafted sculptures made by Leslie Levings.  So what does Mr. Star Trek plan on doing with these cute lil’ monsters?  Levings confirmed on her site that “an animated Beastlies thing,” is in the works.

Nothing has been confirmed yet on whether the Beastlies will be a TV show or movie but, Abrams has purchased the rights to both.

It will definitely be fun seeing these surf-like creatures come to life.  With J.J. Abrams behind the project, I’m sure the Beastlies will be a success
