The iconic Victorian house sold for millions!
The four-bedroom San Francisco home that was the setting for the 1993 film Mrs. Doubtfire – starring the late Robin Williams – has sold for $4.15 million. The house was reportedly originally listed in September for $4.45 million.
“Because it’s built on a wide corner lot, the public rooms are large scale and the home has an open feel,” said listing agent Steven Gothelf. The previous homeowner (a plastic surgeon) bought the house in 1997 for about $1.4 million.
Mrs. Doubfire landed Williams the Golden Globe for his performance as Euphegenia Doubtfire — a female British housekeeper/nanny that his character disguised himself as in order to get closer to his children after a bitter divorce from his wife, played by Sally Field.
