Houston native Cierra Ramirez won at The NCLR American Latino Media Arts Awards 2012 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday.
The NCLR ALMA Awards 2012 represent the very best American Latino’s in film, music and television since 1995. The ALMA Awards don’t air until Friday September 21st on NBC, but last night Cierra was not able to hold in her excitement for her first ALMA award.
Cierra Ramirez was originally known for playing the role of Kathy on The Secret Life of the American Teenager. This summer Cierra starred in the movie Girl In Progress with Eva Mendes about a single mom and her coming-of-age daughter. Girl In Progress was nominated for “Favorite Movie”, and Cierra was nominated for “Favorite Movie Actress: Supporting Role”. Cierra tweeted a picture to her fans showing off her award saying
