Harry Potter star Jamie Waylett, known as Vincent Crabbe in the blockbuster Harry Potter movies, has been sentenced to prison for two years for his involvement in last year’s London riots.
TMZ reported last October that the 22-year-old Harry Potter villain had “intended to detonate a bomb” (Molotov cocktail) while looting champagne from a London drug store on August 8th.
While searching Waylett’s home, British authorities claimed they found 15 cannabis plants in the young actor’s residence.
“[Waylett] was charged with violent disorder, having an article with intent to destroy or damage property, receiving stolen goods and also cultivating cannabis plants,” British police released in a statement last year after his arrest on September 20th.
Since his arrest, Waylett has been found guilty of violent disorder and sentenced to two years in a British prison. The actor, who reportedly had a previous drug conviction on record, was acquitted of the charge to destroy property with a fire bomb.
The details on when Waylett will report to prison have not been released.
