Harrison Ford to Reveal Details About ‘Star Wars’ Theme Park
Star Wars attractions are coming to Disneyland and Walt Disney World, and Star Wars star Harrison Ford will be on hand to preview the plans for them in a TV special.
The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60 will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Disneyland by looking at Disney’s past, present, and future theme park projects. Star Wars Land will soon become part of the Disney parks, which was announced by Disney chairman Bob Iger back in August at the D23 Expo in Anaheim. Some of the attractions include a cantina similar to the one seen in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and a Millennium Falcon that guests will have the chance to ride.
Dancing With the Stars’ Derek Hough will serve as the master of ceremonies for the TV special, and it will feature appearances by Elton John, Josh Gad, and Witney Carson. In addition, the Los Angeles Philharmonic conducted by Gustavo Dudamel will perform “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” from Fantasia.
The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60 will air on ABC on February 21 at 7pm CST.
