‘Game of Thrones’ Stars Joining ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’ Cast

The film adaptation of Grahame Smith’s Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, a parody of Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride and Prejudice, is adding two Game of Thrones stars to its cast. Charles Dance and Lena Headey, who portray Tywin Lannister and Cersei Lannister, respectively, on the hit HBO drama, have signed on for the film. It has not yet been revealed which characters they will play.

Dance and Headey join a cast that already includes Lily James, Sam Riley, Bella Heathcoate, Jack Huston, Douglas Booth, Matt Smith, and Suki Waterhouse. Burr Steers penned the latest script for the film, which depicts the tale of Elizabeth Bennet who is pressured by her family and society to marry a wealthy man, but instead prefers to battle zombies. Natalie Portman serves as one of the film’s producers, alongside Allison Shearmur, Sean McKittrick, Annette Savitch, Marc Butan, Brian Oliver and Tyler Thompson.

On Tuesday, it was also announced that Screen Gems purchased the rights to distribute the film in the U.S.

Filming for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is set to begin September 24. It is expected to hit theaters in 2015.
