Cameras are officially rolling on Spectre, the 24th film in the James Bond 007 franchise, and we’ve got the picture to prove it!
The highly-anticipated follow-up to Skyfall stars Daniel Craig reprising his role as James Bond, Christoph Waltz as the villain Oberhauser, Guardian of the Galaxy‘s Dave Bautista as Mr. Hinx, Ben Whishaw as Q and Ralph Fiennes as the new M.
To commemorate the beginning of filming, the official 007 Facebook page shared the first image from the set of Spectre (seen below).
According the IMDB, the film’s synopsis reads as follows:
A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.
Wondering where the title Spectre comes from? It’s an acronym that stands for “SPecial Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion,” a global terrorist organization featured in Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels. The organization was featured on screen in 1962’s Dr. No.
Now that production is under way, we’ve just got to wait until November 6, 2015 when Spectre is scheduled to hit theaters!
