First Look: Dwayne Johnson & Zac Efron In ‘Baywatch’ Teaser

Those who are old enough probably can recall the TV show Baywatch. The campy show had a simple premise:

Per Wikipedia: Baywatch revolved around the work of a team of lifeguards and their interpersonal relationships, with plots usually centering on dangers related to the beach and other activities pertinent to the California (later Hawaii) beach lifestyle. Everything from earthquakes and shark attacks to serial killers served as plot conflicts on the show. Saving people from drowning tended to be one of the most typical situations used in the shows.

The show also had that easy to remember opening title sequence with the likes of David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson running in slow motion. NBC cancelled the series after one season but it was revived in first-run syndication where it became one of the most popular shows around the world.

Nearly twenty years after its initial cancellation, the show is being brought back…as a summer blockbuster.
