After many changes in the lead actor, the director, and the film studio, production for Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of Walter Isaacson’s Steve Jobs is finally underway.
Michael Fassbender has taken over the role of the Apple co-founder in the film, which is being directed by Danny Boyle. Joining Fassbender in the biopic are Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak, Kate Winslet as former Macintosh employee Joanna Hoffman, Jeff Daniels as former Apple CEO John Sculley, Michael Stuhlbarg as one of the Mac’s original developers Andy Hertzfeld, and Katherine Waterston as Jobs’ ex-girlfriend Chrisann Brennan. Other cast members include Ripley Sobo, Makenzie Moss, Sarah Snook, Adam Shapiro, and Perla Haney-Jardine.
Universal Pictures, the studio that took over the project after it was dropped by Sony in November, has not yet provided an official photo of Fassbender as Jobs, but some fans have managed to snap some photos of the cast on set in San Francisco:
