A photo of Henry Cavill in costume as Clark Kent on set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been released.
Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund tweeted the photo of Cavill, an ambassador and supporter of U.K.’s Royal Marine 1664 Challenge, on Monday. He is shown holding up a t-shirt for the event, which is a fundraiser to provide a better quality life to serving and retired Royal Marines and their families.
The superhero franchise will star Cavill opposite of Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman/Arthur Curry, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. Jesse Eisenberg will star as Superman’s nemesis Lex Luthor.
This will be Cavill’s second time playing the Smallville farm boy who is secretly Superman. He played the character in Man of Steel, where he accepts the job as a Daily Planet reporter at the end of the film. The photo for the upcoming superhero movie shows Cavill as Clark Kent the reporter.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is currently set to hit theaters May 6, 2016.
A treat for a Monday morning for all our #HenryCavill fans. Henry is a great supporter of the @RM1664Challenge! http://t.co/q4HcEqw0Mr
