First Look at Disney’s Animated Metropolis ‘Zootopia’
Disney Animation has released the first look of its upcoming feature, Zootopia.
Described by Disney-Pixar’s CCO John Lasseter as “classically Disney”, the buddy-cop animated film pairs a con-artist fox named Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) with a bunny cop Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin), who team up to crack a missing mammal case.
According to Wreck-It Ralph’s Rich Moore who directs the film along with Tangled’s Byron Howard, Zootopia centers on two animals “who would naturally never hang out or like one another in the beginning, but over the course of the movie develop a relationship and become friends.”
Below is the official film synopsis:
The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when optimistic Officer Judy Hopps (Goodwin) arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (Bateman), to solve the mystery.
Zootopia hits theaters on March 4th, 2016. Check out the teaser trailer below!
