FIRST LOOK: Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs

Ashton Kutcher released the first photo of him in his role as Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic jOBS.

The film will chronicle 30 years of Job’s life from starting Apple Computer in his parent’s garage to becoming a pioneer in the personal computer revolution, founding Pixar Animation Studios, and creating a plethora of iPod-based products, including iTunes.

Production for jOBS, directed by Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote), began in June 2012. After three days of filming at Job’s childhood home in Los Altos, Ca., production continued at numerous locations in the Los Angeles metroplex for an additional 28 days.

Two and a Half Men star Ashton Kutcher plays the role of Steve Jobs while 21 star Josh Gad plays Apple Computers co-founder Steve Wozniak. The film also stars Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend’s Wedding) as angel investor Mike Markkula, Matthew Modine (Full Metal Jacket) as Apple CEO John Sculley, J. K. Simmons (Law and Order) as venture capitalist Arthur Rock, and Lukas Haas (Lincoln) as computer engineer Daniel Kottke.

jOBS will be released in the United States in 2013.
