‘Fast & Furious 7’ Delayed Until 2015

Vin Diesel announced via Facebook on Sunday night that production for Fast & Furious 7 is delayed, but a go.  The 46-year-old actor posted a picture (shown above) and message of the last scene the two friends filmed together.

“There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we’ve come…,” Diesel wrote on Facebook. “Fast and Furious 7 will be released…April 10th 2015!  P.s. He’d want you to know first…”

The movie had originally been scheduled for a July 2014 release but production was halted after Paul Walker’s sudden death in a vehicular accident last month. Walker’s character Brian O’Conner was the central figure to five of the six films in the franchise, and with his death, the future of the seventh film was left uncertain. Now, producers and writers a working frantically to adjust the storyline. It is unclear is Paul Walker will be completely written out of the sequel or if the scenes he shot prior to his death will be included.
