The trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuted today, resulting in a lot of mixed reactions from fans.
The highly anticipated trailer gives Star Wars fans a glimpse at a few clips from the upcoming movie directed by J.J. Abrams. Some fans have reacted with excitement and can not wait to watch the movie when it debuts in December, but some fans, even celebrities, are already critiquing certain costume and light-saber designs used in the film.
William Shatner was one of many fans who shared his thoughts about the Star Wars: Episode VII trailer. Shatner pointed out that the new storm trooper’s mask looks “happier” and does not resemble the original masks from previous films. He also made remarks about how bad of a design the new lightsabers are, by commenting that they look like “sword guards”. Other fans responded to the same remarks by saying they are excited for the new film, but the lightsabers are kind of overkill.
Besides some heavy criticisms about certain costume and prop deigns in the new film, many fans were happy to see John Boyega star in the trailer.

When can we expect Neil Degrasse Tyson to ruin the Star Wars trailer for us?

My final thought on the trailer: there’s lots of subliminal letters in the star pattern at the end & there is even Mickey Mouse in the stars
