Emily Blunt in Talks to Join Chris Hemsworth in ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ Sequel

Rumor has it that Emily Blunt is in negotiations to join the cast of the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel.

According to the Wrap, Blunt is in talks to star alongside Chris Hemsworth in the film, titled The Huntsman, as the villainous Snow Queen, the sister of Queen Ravenna who was portrayed by Charlize Theron in the first film.

Kristen Stewart, who played Snow White in the original film, will not be returning for the sequel. The film will focus on Hemsworth’s character Eric as he goes on a journey to find a magic mirror that was stolen. Theron is also expected to reprise her role in the new film.

Director Frank Darabont, who had penned the current draft of the script, reportedly left the project last week due to “creative differences.” Universal is currently searching for another filmmaker to take over the film.

The Huntsman is currently planned to be released April 22, 2016.
