Following the last installment, subtitled On Stranger Tides, Walt Disney Pictures has hand-picked a cool name for the forthcoming Pirates of the Caribbean film. Disney has confirmed that the fifth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise will be titled Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
The new Pirates of the Caribbean film sees the return of Jerry Bruckheimer as executive producer and wil be directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg – two rookies to blockbuster movie-making.
Not much information has been revealed about the next Pirates of the Caribbean project, except that the script is still being worked on. Disney intends to release the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie – starring Johnny Depp as the Captain Jack Sparrow – sometime during Summer 2015.
Depp, who recently hinted that his retirement from acting will “probably not [be] too far away,” surely hopes he can reclaim his fleeting glory through Pirates of the Caribbean, considered one of the highest-grossing franchises of all time.
