Daniel Radcliffe is an Undercover Neo-Nazi in ‘Imperium’ Trailer

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is taking on a dramatic and intense role in Imperium, a new thriller that is inspired by former FBI agent Michael German’s life.

Lionsgate provided the following synopsis for the film:

Nate Foster (Daniel Radcliffe), a young, idealistic FBI agent, goes undercover to take down a radical right-wing terrorist group. The bright up-and-coming analyst must confront the challenge of sticking to a new identity while maintaining his real principles as he navigates the dangerous underworld of white supremacy.

German had gone undercover in white supremacist groups during his time as an FBI agent and helped write the story of the film alongside director Daniel Ragussis.

Imperium also stars Toni Collette, Tracy Letts, Seth Numrich, Pawel Szajda, Devin Druid, Chris Sullivan, Nestor Carbonell, Burn Gorman, and Sam Trammell.

Imperium hits theaters and will be available on On Demand on August 19. Watch the trailer below:
