Daniel Craig bid farewell to the No Time to Die crew in a speech he made after wrapping production for the film. Craig has played the iconic role of James ‘007’ Bond for the last 15 years when Casino Royale was released in 2006.
No Time to Die will be Craig’s final portrayal as Bond. It is still unknown the torch will be passed to, although it has been speculated co-star Lashana Lynch is being set up as the successor.
Craig starred in five Bond films, and while some played better critically than others, they were all box office successes. Quantum of Solace was the lowest-earning film in terms of worldwide revenue falling just short of a measly $600m. The franchise peaked after Skyfall earned over $1b worldwide, the first and only time that’s happened during the Craig tenure. It came close to that mark again when Spectre made almost $900m.
No Time to Die will be released in theaters only on Oct. 8.
