Christina Applegate mentioned she still hasn’t signed a deal with Paramount Pictures to be in the Anchorman sequel.
Since the announcement on Conan back in March, unsure rumors have been swirling around that Veronica Corningstone (Applegate) will apparently be in the sequel along with Will Ferrell,Paul Rudd and Steven Carrell. Christina last Tuesday at the Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards at the Beverly Hilton told an E!News reporter that she still hasn’t signed a deal to be in the sequel and does not know that status at the moment.
Christina plays Veronica Corningstone who is a strong female TV anchorwoman and is also Will Ferrell’s love interest. “Of course I would love to be there. They know that. The world knows that.” as Christina mentioned that she is not currently included in the Anchorman sequel trailer, but doesn’t mind even if her role is just a walk-on.
Anchorman 2 is set to release in 2013.
