While Marvel Studios is currently in production of Iron Man 3 and Thor:The Dark World and set to hit theaters in May and November 2013, respectively, what’s the status on the Captain America sequel?
After an interview with Mr. Captain America Chris Evans, Collider.com editor Steven Weintraub tweeted:
Great news for Marvel fans since the first film was a great success after being filmed on a rushed schedule. This time Captain America:The Winter Solider will have a little of over a year for production to make sure the final product is perfect for its April 4th, 2014 release.
The film is being directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, producers of television’s Community and Happy Endings. It is expected that Sebastian Stan will play the role of Bucky Barnes a.k.a. The Winter Soldier while Anthony Mackie has been cast as Sam Wilson a.k.a. The Falcon.
